In this article, I'm talking about an analysis I did on some hashnode statistics. I would like to premise that I fell in love with hashnode immediately, I love this platform 💗

Numbers are growing month by month 📈 thanks to the excellent work of Syed Fazle Rahman, Sandeep Panda, and the whole hashnode community! 🚀

A few days ago Sandeep announced the October metrics:

• +31.8% blog posts (compared to Sept)
• +22% monthly active writers (compared to Sept)

• +20% new publications (compared to Sept)

• 555K readers generated ~ 1.5M views! (+40%)

Another excellent month for Hashnode!

Hashnode's Alexa Rank (Global Internet Traffic and Engagement Over the Past 90 Days) — 30,063

Alexa rank ranks millions of websites in order of popularity, Alexa rank is a measure of website popularity, with an Alexa Rank of 1 being the most popular.

Alexa Rank reveals how a website is doing relative to all other sites, which makes it a great KPI for benchmarking and competitive analysis.

Alexa rank is calculated using a proprietary methodology that combines a site’s estimated traffic and visitor engagement over the past three months.

Positioning is increasing every month with significant growth and geographical differences (USA 27,080 - India 5,436 - Nigeria 1,266):

• August 42,386
• September 36,199
• October 30,932
• 4th November 30,063

The website metrics are very interesting and with double-digit growths:

Hashnode's Domain Authority — 50

Domain Authority (DA) is a search engine ranking score developed by Moz that predicts how likely a website is to rank on search engine result pages (SERPs).

Domain Authority is calculated by evaluating multiple factors, including linking root domains and the number of total links, into a single DA score.

This score can then be used when comparing websites or tracking the "ranking strength" of a website over time.

Domain Authority is not a metric used by Google in determining search rankings and has no effect on the SERPs.

A Domain Authority score ranges from one to 100, for such a young platform with so many competitors, a value of 50 is an extraordinary result and a stimulus to improve more and more.

Takeaway

The platform is having a double-digit growth every month, and this is wonderful news for early writers because they will be able to benefit in terms of engagement (and followers for their articles) from the traffic that will be generated in the future thanks to this growth rates.
